The PTC
The Psychological Testing CentreMission StatementTo establish the British Psychological Society's Psychological Testing Centre as the leading national organisation for all matters relating to psychological testing, and to set, promote and maintain standards in testing. Who Are We and What Do We Do?The British Psychological Society's Psychological Testing Centre (PTC) provides a focus for all Society activities in relation to psychological testing. The Psychological Testing Centre online provides access to information about tests and testing. Whether you are a psychologist, a test user or a member of the public interested in knowing more about testing, the Psychological Testing Centre online is a valuable resource. The Steering Committee on Test Standards (SCTS) has been operating under the aegis of the Professional Practice Board (PPB) for several decades to promote high technical standards in the design and development of occupational tests and their use by psychologists and non-psychologists alike. In January 2003, The Psychological Testing Centre was formed to consolidate activities in psychological testing to include educational testing and the publishing and dissemination of advisory statements, in addition to guidelines and other literature on standards for the construction, use and availability of tests. Training requirements and qualifications of test users are also considered. Committee StructureFor further information on our Committees and Sub-Committees please see the attached pdf
